'There she is, my girl in the river.' - Albert Finney, 'Big Fish' by Tim Burton

My Girl The River features the writing and voice of Kris Wilkinson Hughes.  Along with bassist and songwriter (No More I Love You's/Annie Lennox), Joe Hughes and their daughter, Rue, on ukulele and vocals, this family band offers an Americana, folk, roots romp through stories and emotions. From tears to toe tapping, their debut album 'This Ain't No Fairytale' was described as 'stunning', Kris' upbringing in the American Deep South brings about a certain flavour. Their most recent album, Cardinal in the Snow, produced by Orphan Brigade member and Mary Gauthier producer, Neilson Hubbard, was lauded as ‘Nashville meets southern gothic with fine vocals’ by AmericanaUK giving it an 8/10.

There will be a new EP/album early 2022 with tour dates to follow.

The latest single ‘It’s Gonna Be Alright’ featured on several radio programs and playlists (July 2021), PR Jeremy at At The Helm
